Even if there is no praise in this world for accepting a wise path or heaven or liberation then also giving is better, such is the opinion.

Again, let me give the alternate Sanskrit translation:
Here, this verse follows another template.
If A is the desirable action, then the verse is structured like this:
NOT A is not desirable even if B results. (here B is svarga or e.g., the enjoyment of apsaras). For A alone is desirable even if undesirable results follow (like naraka).
Thus प्रतिग्रहः is receiving. The NOT A of the template. दानं is the A of the template. B is मोक्ष.
Hope this helps.

I could not make out anything from the Sanskrit counterpart for want of syntactic incompatibility. Hope it follows your own ideology put into the mouth of Sanskrit verse by force.
दान is a noble grant that can be given by anyone with/without expectation of any resultant मोक्ष or स्वर्ग.
This is certainly a counterpart of पर्तिग्रहः – स्वीकरणम्।
Only दान is classified as best, worse good उत्तम-मध्यम-अधम according to the conditions prevailing at the time of donation.
Even without these verbosity , it is simple enough to say :
which condenses the disgust of a याचक and the contempt of others towards begging.
This is the common feature
Even then Here is Kalidasa presenting a view:
Even though he be the देवदेव, नगाधिराज didn’t ask him to marry his daughter, without being asked for. This is a lofty transaction then दान and प्रतिग्रह and याचन.
