संस्कृत-लघु-नाटिका (Sanskrit skit)
अद्य द्विवादनात् त्रिवादन-पर्यन्तं वयं एकायाः संस्कृत-लघु-नाटिकायाः अभिनयस्य पूर्वाभ्यासम् अकुर्म। सर्वे अभिनेतारः पूर्वाभ्यासे नासीत् तथापि पूर्वाभ्यासः लाभकारी आसीत्। नाटिकायां अभिनेतारः संवादाः पठिष्यन्ति ते संवादानां स्मरणं न कर्तुं शक्नुवन्ति। सर्वे अभिनेतारः विश्वविद्यालये छात्राः सन्ति।

एकाङ्करूपकं व्यायोगः इत्युच्यते यथा श्री भासप्रणीत मध्यमव्यायोगः । अस्मिन् विषये श्री रामचन्द्रार्येण (TK Ramachandra Ayyar) तस्य ‘मध्यव्यायोगः’ संकलने एवमाह – व्यायोग is a one act play depicting the incidents that happen in a single day.

अथ व्यायोगः
ख्यातेतिवृत्तसम्पन्नो निःसहायकनायकः ।
युक्तो दशावरैः ख्यातैरुद्धतैः प्रतिनायकैः । ।र.सु.क. ३. २३५
विमर्शगर्भरहितो भारत्यारभटीस्फुटः ।
हास्यशृङ्गाररहित एकाङ्को रौद्रसंश्रयः । ।र.सु.क. ३.२३६
एकवासरवृत्तान्तः प्राप्तविष्कम्भचूलिकः ।
अस्त्रीनिमित्तसमरो व्यायोगः कथितो बुधैः । २३७
विज्ञेयं तस्य लक्ष्यं तु धनञ्जयजयादिकं । ।र.सु.क. ३.२३८ab । ।

दशरूपकम् —
khyatetivrtto vyayogah khyatoddhatanarairayah
hino garbhavimarsabhyarn diptah syur dirnavad rasah
astrinimittasamgramo jamadagnyajaye yatha
ekahacaritaikanko vyayogo bahubhir naraih.
‘The Vyayoga (Military Spectacle) has a well-known sub-
ject, and has [as principal characters] men that are well-known
and [of the type known as] vehement ; it lacks the Development
and the Pause [as Junctures] ; the Sentiments [in it] are the
excited ones, as in the Dima. [It should represent] a combat
not occasioned by a woman, as in the case of the Victory of
Parasurama [ Jamadagnya] . The Vyayoga consists of one act,
[presenting] the doings of a single day, and contains many male
characters.’
Com. This kind of drama is called vySyoga because many men disagree
with one another (vyAyujyante) in it.
I think it is not only disagreement, but fighting or calamity between the character over some issue other than heroine or any lady.
