मया श्रीसदानन्दवर्यः पृष्टः – सरलीकरोति इति कथं भवति।
सः प्रत्यावदत् – सरलीकरोति This may be termed as denominative नामधातुः। Denominative verbs are derived from nouns through affixation. Some of the examples of denominative verbs in English would include expressions like ´´to chicken out´´, ´´vaporize´´, to table a motion´´, ´´ to Americanize´´, etc. Here the basic element is a noun, which has been pressed into extended service as a verb. In Sanskrit there are various different kinds of denominative verbs. Some examples are: पुत्रीयति कृष्णायते पण्डितायते गरुडायते लोहितायते नमस्यति-नमस्यते इत्यादिनि।
The following type is strictly speaking not a denomintive verb, but a type of compunding with a verb. However, since it is functionally related, it may be called so.
शुक्लीकरोति गंगीकरोति लघूकरोति लघूभवति गंगीभवति अंगीकरोति पर्वतीकरोति स्वर्गीभवति इत्यादिनि अनेकानि उदाहराणि भवन्ति॥
I hope it is clear to you.
